Republican voters appear to favor Vice President JD Vance as their likely 2028 presidential pick, according to The Center Square’s latest Voters’ Voice Poll. Vance led with 36% support, nearly double that of Donald Trump Jr. at 19%, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio rose to 9%, becoming the second-most popular choice among independent voters.
Support for Vance and Trump Jr. declined slightly since October, while Rubio gained ground, particularly among independents and women. Vance remains strongest in rural areas, Trump Jr. in urban areas, and other candidates—including Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, and Ted Cruz—trail in single digits.
Sen. Rand Paul indicated he may consider a 2028 bid, emphasizing fiscal conservatism, civil liberties, and non-interventionist policies, positioning himself as a potential alternative to Vance.
