Bondi said the DOJ released roughly three million pages of records, calling it the most extensive Epstein-related disclosure ever made by a U.S. administration. She acknowledged that some redaction errors led to the accidental release of victim information but described the review process as a massive undertaking.<\/p>\n
According to Bondi, oversight of the document release was delegated to then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. She maintained that the department fulfilled its obligations and that \u201cjustice and transparency have been delivered.\u201d<\/p>\n
Republican lawmakers focused on whether additional records could still be released, with Committee Chairman James Comer saying he wants all legally available documents made public. Democrats criticized Bondi for declining to discuss conversations with President Donald Trump, citing executive privilege.<\/p>\n
The hearing also revisited questions about Trump\u2019s past interactions with Epstein. Bondi noted that recently released records reportedly show Trump cooperated with authorities and raised concerns about Epstein during a 2006 investigation.<\/p>\n
