\u201cThere\u2019s been a lot of speculation surrounding my personal life,\u201d Shomo wrote. \u201cI feel compelled to set the record straight before it affects those I love any further.\u201d<\/p>\n
He explained that much of Beartooth\u2019s earlier music was rooted in his difficult religious upbringing and internal battles, admitting he often buried his feelings through alcohol rather than confronting them directly.<\/p>\n
\u201cI spent a decade burying feelings with alcohol,\u201d he wrote. \u201cWhen I finally stopped drinking and began exploring why I felt this way for so long, it led me toward reconciling with my sexuality and hopefully finding self-love.\u201d<\/p>\n
