Everything changed when former Democratic fundraiser Li publicly questioned whether Joe Biden should remain on the 2024 presidential ticket. Once welcomed inside elite Democratic circles and frequent White House events, she says her access disappeared within hours of speaking out.

The controversy escalated when Ashley Biden publicly rejected Li’s claims on Instagram, called them false, and questioned whether Li was prepared for a lawsuit. Li later challenged Ashley’s statement that they didn’t know each other, sharing photos of them together.

No lawsuit was ultimately filed, but the confrontation fueled a larger debate over transparency, party loyalty, and what Democratic leadership knew about Biden’s condition before he ended his reelection campaign on July 21, 2024. Li now says the experience exposed just how quickly political allies can turn against an insider who breaks ranks.
